textures of: Disney’s Animal Kingdom VOL 1
DisneyWorld has 4 parks, and the sleeper pick for best one has some of the richest details I’ve seen in entertainment architecture.
But before any of those, here’s the giant concrete dinosaur from the now defunct Dinoland USA area of Animal Kingdom, the “low budget” area
Speaking of Dinoland USA, here’s the cafe exterior. The quality brushed metal is pure Diner Americana. Unfortunately aged.
Up next we have a few from their Asia area, which includes influences from India, Cambodia, Thailand, Mongolia, far-west China, and Nepal.
…All themed to a fictional Himalayan country, Anandapur.
Some materials don’t hold up to scrutiny, but I gotta zoom in to see what makes certain details work.
I’ll be vague with locations to let this be a sort of scavenger hunt if you’re ever at AK, but you gotta hear that Kali River Rapids has an incredible amount of details.
Even the basic theater infrastructure has a decent soul to it. Also unbeknownst to me until now, we have all square crops this week.
Africa’s dedicated area holds an equally wonderful amount of depth.
If you’ve seen how chaotic it is in person, you might know how rare these moments in the cityscape are.
In fact, I have to get into such deep cuts that I’m taking shots of the underside of bridges again. Sorry, too many hints.
Don’t worry, didn’t forget about Pandora/Avatar and its settled-in scifi feel. MORE IN VOL 2..
